About the role

Role Overview

Rescale is hiring a Solutions Architect to lead customer technical engagements and support workload migrations to the cloud. You’ll analyze customer needs, propose tailored architectures, and help execute migration and digital transformation plans for enterprise customers.

Key Missions

Coordinate and execute technical activities during customer pre-sales engagements, including:
- Meetings, presentations, demonstrations
- Proofs of concept (PoCs)
Assess technical needs and infrastructure to design tailored solutions.
Collaborate with customers to define and execute a digital transformation strategy for migrating on-prem workloads to the cloud.

Requirements

Enterprise customer experience in one or more verticals such as:
- Aerospace, Automotive, Life Sciences, Oil & Gas, Semiconductor/EDA
General knowledge of HPC disciplines, e.g. CFD, FEA, Molecular Dynamics, Weather Forecasting, Computational Chemistry, Reservoir/Seismic Simulation, Media Rendering, Machine Learning, Financial modeling.
Understanding of enterprise sales processes (especially pre-sales).
Ability to manage multiple complex projects and coordinate across teams/locations.
Knowledge of HPC concepts and ecosystem, including:
- Schedulers, IaaS, and scripting languages (and how customers deploy them).
5+ years in enterprise cloud, hardware, or software technical experience.
Experience with HPC simulation software, such as (examples provided):
- ANSYS, Siemens, Dassault Systèmes, COMSOL, AVL, Altair, PTC, Cadence, Synopsys, Autodesk, OpenFOAM, LAMMPS, GROMACS, NAMD.
Technical role experience in software, hardware, or cloud (at least 5 years).
US Person requirement due to export control-related projects.
Periodic travel required.
Ability to present complex technical topics clearly.

Nice to Have

B.S. in engineering/CS/math/physics or equivalent; M.S. preferred.
