Solutions Architect (Remote)

Role Overview

Solutions Architect (fully remote within the United States) supporting enterprise and government modernization efforts. You will work with senior technical resources and government clients across changing project priorities, performing research, analysis, technical design support, and solution recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Develop a deepening understanding of products, business requirements, technical design, and implementation/infrastructure considerations
• Support the product line technical management team across multiple sub-product lines
• Gather technical data and information to plan, analyze, and evaluate product line operations
• Identify problems and perform root-cause analyses
• Conduct analysis of alternatives (AoA) and recommend solution approaches
• Understand customer needs and recommend solutions related to integration, automation, and efficiency improvements
• Prepare, revise, and present reports and information to support internal teams and government stakeholders
• Capture and develop best practices and lessons learned from initiatives and projects

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, Operations Research, or related field plus 5 years of related experience (or 5 years additional relevant experience can substitute for education; 3–5 years with relevant certifications in UX software)
• Knowledge of computer system capabilities, business processes, and workflows
• Experience implementing cloud-based products (Azure or AWS)
• Broad technology exposure across databases, middleware, web UI, and APIs
• Ability to assess process gaps and improve procedures
• Strong analytical and investigation skills; highly detailed oriented
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance
• Effective communication in writing, presentations, and orally; strong collaboration skills
• Experience using transactional systems, reporting systems, content management systems, and databases
• Solid experience with Microsoft tools and collaboration platforms: Teams, SharePoint, and Jira
• Mature written/oral/visual communication with different audiences
• Ability to proactively coordinate with internal and external stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Use Jira for workflow management, risk management, and supporting data calls
• Experience with SAFe/Agile delivery models
• Experience supporting or leading within Department of Veterans Affairs (OIT, VBA, and/or VHA)

• Ability to obtain and maintain VA Public Trust clearance
