About the role

Role Overview

Solutions Architect (Cloud) — Fully remote. You will focus on application modernization with Java and cloud-native architectures on Azure, including serverless and container-based deployments.

Responsibilities

Architect and design distributed, fault-tolerant enterprise applications.
Lead modernization efforts, including moving legacy applications to modern Azure serverless architectures.
Work hands-on with Azure services and cloud integration components.
Support container-based deployment approaches (e.g., EKS/ECS).
Use infrastructure-as-code to define and manage cloud resources.
Collaborate with teams across engagement types such as product development, application development, migration, and support.

Required Skills & Experience

7+ years of hands-on IT experience in software design and application development.
4+ years designing and implementing distributed, fault-tolerant enterprise applications.
Strong experience with Java and related frameworks/tools, including:
- Java 8, Spring, Spring Boot
Modern web technology experience:
- React (and/or Angular), TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap
Cloud and cloud-native experience on Azure, including:
- Azure Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, RDS, Aurora, CloudWatch
Container and orchestration:
- EKS and ECS
Infrastructure as code:
- Terraform and/or CloudFormation Templates
Cloud architecture knowledge aligned to Well-Architected Framework.
DevOps/tooling experience:
- Jenkins, Sonar, Maven, Jira, Docker, Azure
Data storage knowledge:
- Relational and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra)
Strong communication skills.
Agile and traditional SDLC execution knowledge.

Nice-to-Have

Experience in cloud data processing and migration and advanced analytics (e.g., Redshift, Glue, Azure EMR, Azure Kinesis, Step Functions).
Customer experience / UX strategy and modern web technology expertise.
Azure Solution Architect certification.

Education

Bachelor’s or Post Graduate degree (Engineering/Science or equivalent).
