About the role

Role Overview

Solutions Architect, Integrations is a specialized technical role focused on validating, designing, and documenting complex data ecosystems for nonprofits. You’ll be the primary customer-facing technical authority for APIs, webhooks, and middleware orchestration, translating donor experience goals into reliable nonprofit data flows.

Responsibilities

Systems Architecture (40%)

Lead technical deep-dives with prospect CTOs and engineering leads to uncover complex system requirements (e.g., headless CMS environments, CRM constraints, ETL processes)
Design bespoke integration architectures using API sequence diagrams and data-flow maps
Demonstrate how Fundraise Up JS and REST APIs integrate with a nonprofit’s stack to solve business hurdles
Provide technical de-risking by proving feasibility and reducing integration friction in the sales cycle

Technical Governance (30%)

Provide architectural validation to Presale Solutions Consultants and Postsale Solutions Engineers
Produce developer-ready documentation, including:
- Exact JSON schemas
- Endpoint mappings
- Logic flows for implementation
Own the customer-facing GTM technical direction for native integrations and middleware options
Lead partner discussions to keep integration roadmaps aligned

Strategic Feedback (20%)

Create internal technical resources/tools to scale Solutions delivery
Mentor and uplift Solutions team expertise in integration best practices (REST API and JS API usage)
Partner with Product leadership with technical feedback to improve the platform and customer experience

Skills & Qualifications

5+ years as an Integrations Architect, Full Stack Engineer, or similar in SaaS or Fintech
Expert knowledge of REST API design, webhook orchestration, and JavaScript API interactions
Hands-on experience with iPaaS platforms such as Workato, Zapier, Tray.io, or MuleSoft
Ability to communicate complex technical diagrams clearly to both executives and engineers
Strong problem-solving skills; meticulous technical documentation and deadline discipline
Prior experience with Eastern European product/engineering teams is a plus
AI is expected to be used day-to-day as a default tool
