Role Overview

Solutions Architect (Insurance) — Fully Remote

CoverGo is looking for a cloud-technology focused Solutions Architect to design and help deliver forward-looking solutions in a modern, cloud-based insurance environment. The role is technology agnostic, but solutions should leverage AWS and/or GCP, incorporating open-source and PaaS/SaaS components.

Responsibilities

• Engage with clients to understand requirements and advise on suitable solution architectures
• Collaborate with Product Managers to align client needs with solution design
• Work with Delivery Managers to oversee the architecture approach during deployment
• Explore alternative approaches and recommend the most effective solution design
• Ensure solutions are implemented according to client expectations and company standards
• Identify, specify, and select off-the-shelf components to meet client needs
• Provide ongoing support and guidance throughout the implementation process
• Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve solutions

Requirements

• 6+ years experience in solution architecture design and delivery roles in the insurance vertical (multiple lines of business)
• Experience delivering cloud-based enterprise technology product solutions
• Ability to translate client requirements into actionable steps and solution architectures
• Understanding of business architecture models & patterns
• Experience designing high-availability, highly scalable cloud solutions
• Experience designing for relational DBs and NoSQL environments
• Experience designing for APIs and microservices-centric environments
• Strong self-learning ability for new technologies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience/understanding of low-code platforms
• Familiarity with authentication/authorization concepts (e.g., SSO, SAML, identity federation)
• Experience with multiple development languages and various DB engines
