Solutions Architect (Insurance) - Fully Remote

Role Overview

Solutions Architect focused on cloud-based insurance solutions, working with clients to design and deliver tailored architectures. The role is technology-agnostic but emphasizes solutions built on AWS and/or GCP, with components spanning open-source, PaaS, and SaaS.

Responsibilities

• Engage with clients to understand requirements and advise on suitable solution architectures
• Partner with Product Managers to align client needs with solution design
• Work with Delivery Managers to guide the architecture approach during deployment
• Explore multiple architecture options and recommend the most effective solutions
• Ensure implementation matches client expectations and company standards
• Identify, specify, and select off-the-shelf components to meet client needs
• Provide ongoing support and guidance throughout the implementation process
• Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve solutions

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 6+ years experience in solution architecture design and delivery roles in the insurance industry, across multiple lines of business
• Experience delivering enterprise cloud-based technology product solutions
• Ability to help define and socialize a product/enterprise roadmap
• Strong capability translating client requirements into actionable steps and architecture
• Understanding of business architecture models and patterns
• Proven ability to design innovative solutions while balancing “out of the box” thinking with business constraints
• Expertise designing high availability and highly scalable cloud solutions
• Experience designing for relational databases and NoSQL environments
• Experience designing for API and microservices-centric environments
• Demonstrated ability to self-learn new technologies
• Ideally familiar with the benefits of low-code platforms
• Advantageous exposure to multiple development languages and various database engines
• Knowledge of authentication and authorization concepts (e.g., SSO, SAML, identity federation)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
