Solutions Architect (Insurance) - Fully Remote

Role Overview

Solutions Architect (Insurance) focused on cloud technology and solution design/delivery for a modern, cloud-based insurance environment. You will work directly with clients to assess needs, design tailored architectures, and support business initiatives aligned to roadmaps.

Responsibilities

• Engage with clients to understand requirements and advise on solution architectures
• Collaborate with Product Managers to align client needs with solution design
• Work with Delivery Managers to guide/oversee the architecture approach during deployment
• Explore alternative solution options to identify the most effective architecture
• Ensure implementations meet client expectations and company standards
• Identify, specify, and select off-the-shelf components to satisfy client needs
• Provide ongoing support and guidance throughout implementation
• Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve solutions

Required Skills & Knowledge

• At least 6 years in solution architecture design and delivery roles in the insurance vertical (multiple lines of business)
• Experience delivering cloud-based technology solutions in an enterprise environment
• Ability to help define and socialize a product/enterprise roadmap
• Ability to translate client requirements into actionable steps and solution architectures
• Understanding of business architecture models & patterns
• Experience designing for high availability and highly scalable cloud applications
• Experience designing in relational DB and NoSQL environments
• Experience designing for API- and microservices-centric environments
• Ability to self-learn emerging technologies
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Exposure to authentication/authorization concepts (e.g., SSO, SAML, identity federation)

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience/understanding of low-code platform benefits
• Experience with multiple development languages and/or a variety of database engines

Technical Emphasis

• AWS and/or GCP environments
• Open-source plus PaaS/SaaS components
