About the role

Role Overview

Solutions Architect for Financial Systems (United States) driving architecture and modernization of critical financial platforms. You will shape the multi-year technology vision and guide secure, scalable evolution across billing, payments, accounting, reinsurance, and enterprise integrations—bridging business transformation with enterprise architecture and engineering leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute a multi-year technology vision and architecture roadmap for financial systems.
  • Lead solution architecture for strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and long-term goals.
  • Establish architecture principles, governance frameworks, reusable patterns, and best practices.
  • Provide technical leadership across billing, payments, accounting, reinsurance, and enterprise integrations.
  • Lead and mentor an engineering team; promote ownership, innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive engineering excellence using modern delivery practices, quality standards, automation, observability, and operational discipline.
  • Partner with Finance, Security, Infrastructure, and Enterprise Architecture teams for integrated solutions.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, vendor solutions, and architectural approaches to support transformation.
  • Champion responsible AI adoption across software architecture, development, testing, documentation, and operations.
  • Advance cloud-native architecture including API-first design, CI/CD, DevSecOps, infrastructure automation, and developer productivity practices.
  • Communicate complex technical strategies clearly to executive and business stakeholders.
  • Guide modernization efforts with both strategic oversight and hands-on involvement in critical decisions.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, architecture, or technology leadership.
  • Proven experience designing and leading architecture for large-scale, business-critical enterprise platforms.
  • Required experience with financial applications such as billing, payment systems, accounting, or similar enterprise finance technologies.
  • Experience leading and developing high-performing engineering teams.
  • Strong executive communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders across departments.
  • Deep expertise in enterprise architecture, cloud-native platforms, and APIs (including event-driven architecture per the posting’s cutoff).
