About the role

Role Overview

Solution Architect to design scalable, secure, cloud-native applications for high-traffic digital platforms. This is a fully remote contract role with an ASAP start date.

Responsibilities

  • Own architecture and design for cloud data applications
  • Support a homegrown CMS and a cloud-native microservices ecosystem
  • Partner with product and development teams on investigation spikes
  • Define infrastructure needs for new product initiatives
  • Communicate architectural direction to technical leads
  • Ensure scalability, security, resiliency, uptime, and maintainability
  • Provide data-backed reasoning for architectural decisions
  • Guide microservices and micro-frontend architecture patterns

Requirements

Must-haves

  • 5+ years of progressive software engineering experience
  • Several years in a true architect role
  • Strong experience with Azure and AWS in a multicloud environment
  • Strong microservices architecture experience
  • Micro-frontend architecture experience
  • Strong understanding of network protocols
  • Experience with network-edge caching strategies
  • Ability to maintain high availability across the network layer
  • Strong scalability, security, and resiliency principles
  • Ability to adapt quickly and communicate across product and engineering teams

Nice-to-haves

  • AWS streaming experience
  • Azure cloud engineer certification
  • Cloud or networking certifications
  • Experience with media, streaming, or SaaS platforms
