About the role

Role Overview

Join a government agency as a Solution Architect to design innovative, secure, and scalable enterprise technology solutions. This is a fully remote role focused on enterprise architecture, integration initiatives, and system performance across diverse platforms.

Responsibilities

Design and implement enterprise solutions and enterprise/solution architecture artifacts
Lead or drive API integrations across on-prem and cloud environments
Develop, document, and communicate technical architectures to diverse stakeholders
Support integration and performance optimization across multiple systems/platforms
Apply IT security, data privacy, and risk mitigation principles to architecture decisions

Required Skills

10+ years of solution architecture experience with a track record delivering enterprise solutions
Active MuleSoft certifications within the past two years
Extensive API integration experience (on-prem and cloud)
Strong domain knowledge across ERP financial, retail, order management, HR, and CRM systems
Enterprise/solution architecture frameworks: TOGAF, Zachman, and NIST-based security models
Hands-on expertise with MuleSoft and messaging/event-driven platforms such as ActiveMQ
Ability to clearly develop, document, and communicate architectures
IT security and risk mitigation expertise

Nice to Have

Security standards knowledge: Zero Trust Architecture, PCI DSS, and Cloud Security Alliance controls
Familiarity with ITSM/ITIL best practices
Experience with NIST CSF and related security frameworks
Ability to lead technical teams and manage solution delivery lifecycle
Experience in Gaming, Supply Chain, or Retail

Education / Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, or related field
Relevant architecture certifications such as TOGAF, Zachman, or ArchiMate
10+ years of hands-on solution architecture experience in similar industries
