About the role
Role Overview
Solution Architect, Marketing Cloud on the Information Technology team. Reporting to the Senior Director, Global Data Enablement, Corporate & Commercial Reporting, you will serve as a key technical link in Insmed’s marketing automation ecosystem. The role ensures Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) enables compliant, effective, data-driven customer engagement across brands and regions.
Remote: Can work from anywhere in the United States.
Responsibilities
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather, document, and prioritize requirements for campaigns, journeys, and audience targeting.
- Align SFMC initiatives with commercial strategy, data governance, and compliance policies (privacy, consent, regulatory requirements).
- Provide technical ownership of SFMC, ensuring performance, scalability, and integrations with CRM and data ecosystems.
- Lead technical architecture, data design, and integration pipelines between SFMC and systems including Health Cloud, Snowflake, Veeva CRM, and Master Data Management.
- Oversee and review vendor-delivered solutions, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards, security, and scalability.
- Partner with vendors on performance oversight, code review, and adherence to SLAs and best practices.
- Drive platform governance, release management, and change control with IT operations and compliance.
- Establish, deliver, and monitor KPIs and process improvements for the platform.
- Oversee campaign enablement, automation workflows, and customer journey configuration in SFMC.
- Ensure data quality, segmentation accuracy, and end-to-end campaign execution support.
- Support continuous improvement in marketing automation, personalization, and analytics.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 8+ years of experience in IT or Marketing Technology, including at least 4 years working directly with Salesforce Marketing Cloud in an enterprise environment.
- Strong knowledge of SFMC architecture/configuration and automation, including:
- AMPscript
- SQL
- Data Extensions
- REST/SOAP APIs and system integrations
- Understanding of Salesforce Sales/Service Cloud integration patterns.
- Knowledge of data privacy, consent, and pharma marketing compliance frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills; ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language.
Nice-to-haves
- Pharmaceutical/Biotech experience strongly preferred.
- Experience managing multi brand/product Marketing Cloud environments.
- Experience managing/overseeing third-party vendors or implementation partners.
Compensation
- $155,000.00–$201,500.00 annual.
