About the role

Role: Software Test Engineer (Hybrid, Remote-friendly)

NetDocuments is seeking a Software Test Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of applications across cloud and desktop environments.

Responsibilities

Execute testing & improve quality
- Review requirements and acceptance criteria to understand expected behavior
- Create and execute manual and automated test cases for new features and enhancements
- Validate functionality across UI, API, and end-to-end workflows
- Identify, document, and troubleshoot defects with engineering teams
- Help ensure features meet quality standards before release
Build automation skills
- Develop and maintain automated tests (with guidance from experienced engineers)
- Write and debug test automation code to improve testing efficiency
- Contribute to existing automation frameworks and test suites
- Expand automation coverage and reduce manual testing effort
Collaborate across teams
- Work with software engineers, product managers, and quality engineers across the development lifecycle
- Participate in technical discussions on testing approaches and quality improvements
- Share testing insights, risks, and results
- Support a culture of quality, learning, and continuous improvement

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
0–3+ years of experience in software testing, development, or test automation
Ability to write code in C# (or another object-oriented language)
Understanding of software testing concepts and methodologies
