About the role
Role Overview
You will support validation and testing of next-generation Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) transmitter devices in an FDA-regulated environment. The role focuses on developing and executing test strategies for embedded firmware, combining embedded systems expertise with test automation and strong debugging skills.
Responsibilities
- Execute existing test cases and develop/modify test interfaces for updated firmware features
- Design and implement automated and manual test solutions for embedded systems and CGM transmitters
- Create and maintain FDA-compliant test documentation (test plans, test reports, traceability matrices)
- Debug issues by analyzing logs, configuration files, and source code to identify root causes
- Document and track software defects and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues
- Work with analog/digital hardware interfaces and embedded operating systems
- Apply low-power system design principles within testing scenarios
- Contribute to the design, development, testing, and continuous improvement of products
- Identify risks, mitigate issues proactively, and resolve technical roadblocks
- Support cost optimization and product efficiency initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- 2–5 years of experience in object-oriented programming
- Proficiency in at least one object-oriented language (e.g., Java or C#)
- Strong understanding of embedded firmware/software systems
- Experience with test automation and test development
- Familiarity with wireless communication protocols and product testing
- Ability to debug using logs, configurations, and code
- Experience working in regulated environments (preferably FDA or similar)
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Java and/or C#
- Experience with embedded devices or IoT products
- Knowledge of Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE)
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and tools
