Role Overview

Software Quality Assurance (QA) Test Engineer (Remote)

Workerbee is seeking QA Software Test Engineers to help employers solve complex problems through hands-on manual and automated testing. You will design and maintain test coverage across web, mobile, and API environments while collaborating with engineering teams throughout the SDLC.

Responsibilities

Design, execute, and maintain test plans and test cases for web, mobile, and API
Automate testing to improve release velocity using tools such as:
- Selenium, Cypress, Playwright
Identify, document, and track defects using systems like:
- Jira, TestRail, Zephyr
Collaborate with engineering teams in Agile/Scrum to ensure quality throughout the SDLC
Perform regression, performance, and integration testing

Requirements

5+ years of experience in a relevant field/technology
Strong communication and client service skills
Proven ability to solve problems and work independently
Curiosity and willingness to learn new tools and methods

Nice to Have / Additional Signals

Familiarity with QA methodologies such as shift-left testing and CI/CD integration
Experience with automation frameworks and scripting in JavaScript, Python, or Java
API testing knowledge using tools such as Postman or RestAssured
Ability to analyze logs, debug issues, and communicate findings clearly
Proactive mindset for improving quality processes and reducing production defects
