Software Quality Assurance Engineer II

Role Overview

Software Quality Assurance Engineer II at KNAPP North America. You will ensure the quality of software products developed and commissioned by KNAPP, including systems such as KLASS-X, KiSoft One, KiSoft SRC, PLATTFORM, and KiSoft Sandbox.

Responsibilities

• Test products and projects (including static testing by reviewing functional sheets and specifications)
• Create comprehensive test cases and test plans with coverage across integration phases
• Execute test cases and organize cross-product testing
• Integrate selected test cases into standard test sets for each software product
• Monitor and report test execution progress, quality metrics, and project health to stakeholders
• Organize, prepare, and run testing in-house and at customer sites
• Document test execution in the test documentation system
• Create anomaly reports and log issues in the issue tracking system

Automated Testing & QA Oversight

• Create, maintain, and adapt automated tests
• Roll out automated test suites across projects
• Enhance and extend test coverage to improve reliability
• Create test projects and plans aligned with standard test cases, specifications, and development orders
• Maintain documentation for test plans, test cases, and test results
• Ensure test environments are properly set up and maintained

Mentorship & Collaboration

• Mentor and guide junior QA engineers and foster a continuous improvement culture
• Provide support by answering technical/process questions and clarifying expected feature behavior to meet quality standards
• Occasionally prepare and lead training sessions for customers and employees
• Continuously update and share technical and process notes

Requirements

• Several years of experience in software quality assurance with strong testing methodology/tooling knowledge
• Strong skills in documentation (test plans, test cases, knowledge bases)
• Proficiency in automated testing languages: Python, Java, Bash Script, and C++
• Experience with CI/CD tools (preferably Azure DevOps)
• Knowledge of SDLC methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, and DevOps
• SQL and PL/SQL experience
• Experience with Linux and ability to work in mixed Linux/Windows environments
• Knowledge of logistical workflows/processes
• Understanding of software development technologies and design patterns (OOA, UML, common patterns)
• Ability to create workflows/processes in written form and sequence diagrams
