About the role

Role Overview

Join Whova’s remote team as a Software QA Engineer focused on ensuring software quality and reliability. You’ll design, implement, and maintain test automation systems and work with product teams to define acceptance criteria and build comprehensive test plans.

Responsibilities

Help product owners define clear, testable user stories and acceptance criteria
Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test objectives
Create, automate, and maintain manual and automated regression test suites
Enhance testing automation tools and infrastructure to improve efficiency
Investigate product issues, identify root causes, and recommend improvements
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent project execution and quality standards
Stay up to date with emerging testing methodologies and tools

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
Proven experience in software QA, including manual and automated testing
Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and best practices
Experience with test automation tools/frameworks for web and mobile
Familiarity with source control, build processes, and continuous integration
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Collaborative, proactive team-oriented mindset
