About the role

Role Overview

Vistage is seeking a Software QA Engineer to join a fully remote QA team. You’ll excel at finding complex defects through manual and exploratory testing, partnering with remote developers to ensure reliable, scalable software for a global membership.

Responsibilities

Design and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and use cases for functional, regression, and integration testing
Collaborate with product owners and developers to understand user stories and technical designs, ensuring strong test coverage
Keep test documentation and QA procedures up to date as features evolve
Execute manual, exploratory, regression, and UAT testing across web and mobile platforms
Test and validate integrations between Salesforce, WordPress, and proprietary systems
Log and manage defects in Jira/Xray, including clear reproduction steps and environment details
Verify bug fixes and deployments to prevent regressions
Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing
Conduct basic backend data validation using SQL
Proactively communicate testing progress, risks, and issues to distributed teams and stakeholders

Requirements

3+ years of professional experience as a Software Quality Engineer (or similar)
Deep expertise in manual testing, including exploratory and end-to-end testing
Proficiency with QA tools such as Jira and Xray (or equivalent test management)
Hands-on experience testing Salesforce applications (custom configurations and data integrity)
Strong understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, browser debugging)
Ability to write and execute basic SQL queries for validation
Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment
Excellent communication skills for cross-team collaboration

Nice to Haves

Experience with testing multi-system workflows and data consistency across integrated platforms (Salesforce + WordPress + proprietary tools)
