About the role
Role: Software QA Engineer
Remote (with monthly visits to the South West Office) | Permanent
You’ll report to the QA Manager and help ensure high-quality releases through both manual and automated testing.
Responsibilities
- Perform manual and automated testing
- Participate in development with security in mind and maintain a strong customer experience
- Review user stories and provide feedback on changes that could affect user experience
- Spot variations from acceptance criteria and identify issues early
- Automate using BDD
- Estimate and plan testing activities
- Create test scripts and support automated testing capabilities
- Update and record test results and communicate details to the development team
- Identify potential security vulnerabilities
Requirements
- Background in reviewing user stories, technical specifications, and design documents
- Experience identifying and feeding back on changes impacting user experience
- Ability to estimate and plan testing work
- Experience spotting deviations from acceptance criteria
- Experience identifying potential security vulnerabilities
- Experience creating test scripts and managing automated testing with BDD
Location
- United States (remote, with monthly visits to the South West Office)
Compensation
- Up to £45,000 per year
