Software QA Engineer

Role Overview

Software QA Engineer for a SaaS organization. The role is remote with monthly visits to the South West office, reporting to the QA Manager. You’ll focus on both manual and automated testing while keeping security and customer experience at the forefront.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual and automated testing
• Participate in solution development with security in mind
• Review user stories, technical specifications, and design documents
• Identify and communicate changes that would impact user experience
• Estimate and plan testing activities
• Automate tests using BDD
• Spot deviations from acceptance criteria
• Identify potential security vulnerabilities
• Record and report testing results and details to the development team

Requirements

• Experience reviewing user stories and technical/specification/design documents
• Ability to estimate and plan testing work
• Experience identifying variations from acceptance criteria
• Experience creating test scripts and managing automated testing, including BDD
• Strong capability in communicating testing outcomes to developers
