About the role
Role Overview
Software QA Engineer for a SaaS organization. The position is remote, reports to the QA Manager, and is permanent.
Responsibilities
- Perform manual and automated testing
- Review user stories, technical specifications, and design documents
- Identify and propose changes that could affect user experience
- Spot variations from acceptance criteria
- Estimate and plan testing activities
- Help keep security foremost by identifying potential security vulnerabilities
- Update, record, and communicate test results to the development team
- Automate testing using BDD
Requirements
- Experience with manual and automation testing
- Ability to review user stories and related documentation
- Experience estimating/planning testing work
- Experience creating test scripts and managing automated testing capabilities (including BDD)
- Ability to convey test outcomes clearly to developers
Nice-to-haves
- Strong focus on security during development and QA
Location / Working Model
- Remote, with monthly visits to a South West office (United States listed as location).
