Software QA Engineer I

Role Overview

Software QA Engineer I (Remote, U.S.-based only) You will develop and support the execution of test plans, test scripts, and process plans. You’ll collaborate with other QA engineers and partners to validate test cases against quality requirements and help ensure the end product is functional, user-friendly, and meets minimum quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Execute test plans and perform validation of test cases
• Document software defects in a bug tracking system and report them to developers
• Identify, analyze, and document issues across program function, output, online screens, or content
• Create and maintain test procedures to ensure replicability and standards compliance
• Test system modifications to prepare for implementation
• Review software documentation for technical accuracy, compliance, completeness, and risk mitigation
• Create or maintain defect databases based on known test defects
• Collaborate cross-functionally with QA, Teams, BA/PO to evaluate/diagnose issues and recommend solutions

Requirements (Minimum Qualifications)

• Must be remote and located in the U.S.; authorized to work in the U.S.
• Ability to create clear, concise, detail-oriented test plans and test cases
• Ability to derive test plans from specifications or verbal communications
• Strong written and verbal communication to document and communicate QA work
• Ability to communicate bugs to developers and stakeholders
• Creative problem-solving to translate technical requirements into test plans
• Ability to meet deadlines and quickly identify high-priority defects
• Ability to think abstractly and challenge norms to find bugs effectively
• Eagerness to learn and grow
