Software Engineering Manager

Role Overview

As a Software Engineering Manager at ZipRecruiter, you will lead an engineering team, drive product execution, and build a strong engineering culture that supports the company’s mission.

Key Missions

• Own responsibility for mission execution, team morale, and code quality.
• Collaborate with Product leaders to maintain and execute the product roadmap.
• Develop, coach, motivate, and continuously improve your team—lead by example.

Requirements

• 6+ years experience in fast-paced software development at scale.
• Hands-on coding experience in a professional setting.
• BS/MS/PhD in Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, or a related technical field.
• Experience leading/managing a software engineering team.
• Demonstrated ability to innovate and solve ambiguous problems with novel approaches.
• 3+ years of engineering management experience.
• Experience building high-traffic full-stack web or data applications.
