Software Engineering Manager - Product Customer Data Platform

Role overview

Constant Contact is hiring an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead engineers on its Customer Data Platform (CDP) team. You’ll manage and develop a team delivering critical functionality for major company initiatives, partnering closely with the Product Owner on planning and execution.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex technical projects and teams focused on a data-driven platform
• Drive Agile delivery and maintain a high-performing engineering culture
• Hire, mentor, and grow software engineers; foster innovation, collaboration, ownership, and accountability
• Lead and motivate engineers and earn trust through communication and diplomacy
• Support ingestion and processing of real-time streaming events for the CDP
• Improve downstream outcomes including real-time customer segmentation, automated customer journeys, and insights/recommendations for marketers
• Collaborate with other managers to deliver core SaaS functionality

Requirements

• 8+ years industry experience
• 3+ years proven track record leading software teams in a data-driven environment
• Experience working with managers to drive execution and delivery for SaaS products
• Strong technical background across a broad mix of technologies including:
  • Java, Go
  • React
  • AWS
  • CI/CD
  • Automated Testing
  • MySQL
• Experience designing and implementing solutions for scaling large systems
• Experience with real-time data streaming
• Experience with Apache Flink and Kubernetes
• Experience with Agile methodologies including Scrum or Kanban
