Software Engineering Manager (Fintech)

Role Overview

Join ServiceTitan as a Software Engineering Manager (Fintech) leading the Financing Team. You’ll own projects end-to-end, mentor engineers, and partner closely with Product and Risk/Compliance to deliver reliable, auditable financing capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end ownership of engineering projects, ensuring delivery on time and meeting quality standards.
• Mentor and guide engineers to improve performance and the quality of their work.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including Product, Risk, and Compliance, to build financing products responsibly.
• Lead technical decision-making for the team and contribute hands-on when needed.

Requirements

• Strong experience with distributed systems with focus on data consistency, auditability, and reliability for financial systems.
• 8+ years in senior engineering roles (e.g., designing APIs, abstractions, and tools used by other engineers).
• 3+ years managing small-to-medium software engineering teams, ideally in an Agile environment.
• Proficiency with Git, unit testing, debugging, profiling, and performance monitoring.
• Strong technical background as a backend or full-stack engineer.
• Excellent communication and technical writing skills.

Preferred / Nice-to-haves

• Experience with .NET (C#, ASP.NET MVC, Web APIs) and SQL databases (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server).
• Fintech / payments / financial services domain knowledge.
• Hands-on experience using AI coding tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, GitHub Copilot).
• Experience integrating LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic) into production applications.
• Ability to evaluate AI output with strong engineering judgment (correctness, security, maintainability).
