About the role

Join Affirm as a Software Engineering Manager for the Fraud Platform team. In this role, you will lead a dynamic team of 6 engineers, collaborate with various stakeholders, and establish a strong engineering culture. You will have the opportunity to directly impact Affirm's ability to protect against fraud. Key missions: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop a long-term technical roadmap for the Fraud Decisioning System.. Recruit, hire, and develop talented engineers, providing thoughtful feedback and coaching to team members.. Establish Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to set the engineering team’s direction and measure its success. Profile: - Past experience in Fraud/Risk/Financial systems is a plus - Technical: solid engineering fundamentals and real world experience building scalable distributed backend services - Experience: 2-3+ years managing high performing engineering teams - Passionate about Affirm's Mission: "Deliver Honest Financial Products that improve lives - Collaborative: track record of successful cross functional collaboration especially with product managers, business partners, and engineering counterparts - Potential: ability to grow alongside a fast growing company and team - Humble: you lead with the humility and self-awareness needed to navigate challenging situations - Past experience building platform solutions is a plus - This position requires either equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field
