Software Engineer (US-Remote)

Role Overview

Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain modern software applications and services. You’ll work in a cross-functional team to build scalable cloud-native applications, microservices, and AI-enabled systems.

Location / Schedule

• US-Remote or Marlton, NJ area
• Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm
• Travel: less than 5%

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable applications, APIs, and microservices
• Build and integrate AI-enabled capabilities, including machine learning models, LLM integrations, and data-driven services
• Participate in architecture and design reviews to meet scalability, security, and performance requirements
• Develop cloud-native services and containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes
• Integrate AI models, data pipelines, and inference services into production systems
• Collaborate with DevOps, cybersecurity, QA, and product stakeholders
• Maintain technical documentation (architecture diagrams, API specs, AI model documentation)
• Use modern version control and CI/CD practices
• Apply secure coding practices and support DevSecOps workflows
• Use AI-assisted development tools (e.g., LLM coding assistants, code analysis)
• Monitor and troubleshoot distributed systems using logging, observability, and telemetry

Required Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in software design, development, and debugging
• Experience with Java and/or Python backend development
• Experience with Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices architectures
• AI/ML experience using frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch, and AI integration tools
• Experience integrating AI services / LLM APIs into applications
• Containerization experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Relational database experience: MySQL, MariaDB, or PostgreSQL
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevSecOps
• Familiarity with the AI/ML lifecycle (data prep, training, evaluation, deployment, monitoring)
• Ability to analyze problems, design solutions, and work collaboratively
• Security clearance: Must be eligible and pass screening to obtain DoD Top Secret

Nice-to-Have

• LLM frameworks/AI SDKs (e.g., OpenAI, LangChain, HuggingFace)
• Vector databases/embeddings systems (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate, Elasticsearch)
• MLOps pipelines for deployment and monitoring
• Distributed systems/event streaming/message queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• Observability platforms (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
• NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra)

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, or related field

Experience

• 2+ years minimum
