About the role

Role Overview

Software Engineer (Trading) at Phantom, focused on building the systems behind the trading experience. You will connect blockchain infrastructure to seamless web experiences, shaping how users discover, execute, and interact with digital asset trades across multiple ecosystems.

Responsibilities

Build trading systems: Design and implement APIs, data pipelines, and services bridging blockchain infrastructure to user-facing trading.
Implement trading capabilities: Own the aggregation and integration of new trading protocols, aggregators, and trade types.
Experiment with trading experiences: Prototype and iterate on new trading surfaces and user segments.
Feature development on web platforms: Deliver features on Phantom Extension and the website.
Drive blockchain expansion and products: Lead initiatives to add support for other blockchains and launch complementary products/infrastructure.
User and developer interface: Support end-users and developers building on Phantom; collect feedback to guide product direction.
Team culture & execution: Collaborate with the team to foster a culture of raising the bar with each new hire.

Requirements

B.S. in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
5+ years full-time software engineering experience.
Demonstrated interest in open and community-driven platforms.
English proficiency (noted as nice-to-have in the posting).

Experience working with trading systems.
Strong English communication.
