Role Overview
Software Engineer specializing in Quality Assurance / SDET to ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of healthcare technology solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks and scripts for web, API, and backend applications (including regression coverage).
- Collaborate with software engineers, product owners, and analysts to understand requirements, create test strategies, and write detailed test plans.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and rapid deployment.
- Diagnose, debug, and troubleshoot defects; write detailed bug reports and track issues to resolution.
- Identify opportunities for test automation, performance testing, and security scanning; implement modern quality engineering tools and patterns.
- Analyze test coverage and test execution metrics, and provide quality reports/recommendations to leadership.
- Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and Agile ceremonies to embed quality throughout the lifecycle.
- Develop AI-powered solutions with a focus on responsible AI usage.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years working in an Agile/Scrum team and using tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.
- 3+ years testing RESTful APIs and using API testing tools such as Postman and RestAssured.
- 2+ years software engineering and/or test automation development with Selenium and Playwright (or similar).
- 2+ years in OOP languages such as Java, C#, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
- 2+ years designing/writing/executing automated test suites using frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Cucumber.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
- Exposure to testing cloud-based applications (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Performance/load testing experience with JMeter, Locust, or k6.
- Database familiarity and SQL for verifying data integrity.
- Containerization knowledge (Docker or Kubernetes).
