Software Engineer (Python)

Role Overview

Senior Software Engineer (Python) working on an AI Platform. You will participate in the full development lifecycle of AI-powered software products, building and modernizing platforms and services for intelligent document processing and AI-driven clinical review.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, release, and maintain production software across frontend, backend, and APIs.
• Rapidly troubleshoot and resolve production issues and bugs to meet reliability, performance, and error-rate targets.
• Modernize AI platforms and processing services by keeping architecture, frameworks, and dependencies current.
• Develop and improve core AI capabilities, including:
  • document processing
  • retrieval
  • prompt execution
  • tooling to measure and ensure quality
• Design and build APIs and modular, reusable services for other teams.
• Create configuration and administrative interfaces for clinical/operations stakeholders to manage business rules, mappings, and AI prompt workflows.
• Build reporting and dashboards for system, data, and operational health.
• Manage code releases and partner with DevOps on CI/CD and deployment improvements.
• Write clear technical documentation and end-user documentation.
• Follow HIPAA confidentiality guidelines and company policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred (Computer Science, Math, Physics, or Engineering).
• Basic understanding of object-oriented design and analysis.
• Client-server architecture and web application development knowledge.
• Proactive self-starter who can research and learn.
• Familiarity with SDLC and basic software development methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, organization, and attention to detail.
• Ability to foster a cohesive, positive working environment.

Nice to Have / Implied Skills

• Experience with Python backend, Next.js, and TypeScript front end.
• Experience supporting AI platform capabilities (document processing, retrieval, prompt execution).
