Role overview

Software Engineer at Obsidian Security, helping build and scale a SaaS security platform. The role is broad and hands-on across backend services, APIs, data pipelines, integrations, and customer-facing workflows.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain product features across backend services, APIs, data systems, and user-facing workflows
Work with product managers, designers, security researchers, and other engineers to ship reliable, useful software
Contribute to services that process SaaS activity, identity data, permissions, alerts, and security findings
Improve systems for performance, reliability, maintainability, and observability
Write clear, well-tested code and participate in code reviews
Debug and resolve production issues with other teams

Requirements

Comfortable learning new areas and working across multiple parts of the codebase
Ability to develop practical, product-driven solutions close to real customer problems
Write and maintain well-tested software

Nice-to-haves

Experience working with data pipelines/integrations and security-related domains (identity, permissions, alerts)
Familiarity with backend services and API development
