About the role

Role Overview

Join a small remote team building critical infrastructure tooling for the SUSE/Rancher Kubernetes ecosystem. The Software Engineer will help platform engineering teams proactively understand and diagnose system issues before they become incidents.

Responsibilities

Design and implement high-quality software using Java and C++
Develop a microservices architecture to improve system performance
Use cloud computing technologies to enhance scalability
Collaborate with the team using Agile methodologies
Apply version control best practices
Create and execute automated tests using testing frameworks
Contribute to Python applications as needed

Requirements

Strong experience with Java and C++
Familiarity with microservices architecture and cloud computing
Knowledge of version control systems
Understanding of Agile methodologies and testing frameworks
Ability to work independently in a remote environment

Nice to Haves

Experience contributing to Python applications (as needed)
