Role Overview

Software Engineer (MANTL) at Alkami Technology. Build core experiences for both bank administrators and bank customers in a remote-first environment (most US-based roles can be remote).

Responsibilities

  • Build streamlined user flows for internal and customer-facing experiences.
  • Craft robust APIs for core platform capabilities.
  • Integrate with third-party systems such as Plaid and Sendgrid.
  • Write clean, well-documented, well-tested code with a focus on long-term viability and performance.
  • Emphasize error handling, logging, and edge cases for every service.
  • Translate complex product requirements into elegant technical solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance, suggestions, and code reviews to raise the team’s engineering bar.
  • Advocate for and participate in system design decisions, including explaining tradeoffs and rationale.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of professional experience with back-end technologies (Node.js, Python, Go, TypeScript, etc.).
  • Experience with REST APIs.
  • Comfortable with system design and architecture tradeoffs.
  • Familiar with Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Exposure to ReactJS and NestJS.

Compensation & Other Notes

  • Salary range: $120,000 - $145,000 (annual).
  • US work authorization required; no employment sponsorship.
  • Remote-first; role is generally remote in the US unless indicated as a key role in the title.
