Software Engineer (Js, Python)

Role Overview

You will join an agile development team as a Software Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable, highly available software applications across multiple digital channels. You will apply an enterprise-wide architectural perspective to ensure solutions are robust, efficient, and aligned with business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Design engineering specifications aligned with business needs
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following established standards
• Perform code reviews to ensure quality, security, and best practices
• Generate and implement technical solutions that meet product requirements
• Monitor technical execution against project plans (functionality, scalability, performance)
• Participate in agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives)
• Support sprint planning, story creation, and task management using tools like Jira (or RTC)
• Communicate blockers/issues promptly and provide regular progress updates
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering (required)
• Master’s degree (preferred)
• 3+ years experience in software design/analysis and building scalable systems
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Python or JavaScript (and others listed)
• Experience with two or more of: React, Angular (v4+), Node.js, NoSQL, HTML5, CSS, Google Cloud Platform, AWS
• Understanding of web services: REST, HTTPS, JSON

Nice to Have

• Additional backend languages/frameworks such as Django/Flask and other listed languages
• System architecture, technical feasibility, and optimization for short- and long-term goals
• Experience with healthcare technology systems
• Translating mockups/prototypes/user stories into functional applications
