About the role
Role Overview
DoorDash is hiring iOS Engineers to build and maintain large-scale 24x7 global infrastructure and deliver iOS app features used by millions of people. The role is hybrid, with some in-office time expected, and reports to an Engineering Manager.
Responsibilities
- Work within engineering teams to build exciting product features
- Refactor and improve the codebase continuously
- Tackle real-time data transfer and synchronization problems
- Extend and implement APIs
- Write unit tests
- Stay current with iOS development industry standards
Requirements
- B.S., M.S., or PhD in Computer Science (or equivalent)
- Strong expertise in Swift and the iOS SDK
- Familiarity with networking, storage, and CocoaPods
- Knowledge of systems and OOP
- Experience building, launching, and iterating on mobile apps
Nice to Haves
- Interest in scaling mobile infrastructure and/or building product features for local entrepreneurs
