About the role

Role Overview

As a Software Engineer, Infrastructure, you will design, build, and operate systems that support Anrok’s product and the engineers who build it. You’ll take ownership of reliability, security, scalability, and performance, and drive infrastructure technical decisions.

Responsibilities

Own reliability, security, scalability, and performance for key infrastructure systems
Drive technical decision-making for infrastructure
Identify and fix bugs and technical debt
Collaborate with engineers and management to deliver high-impact solutions
Work on projects such as:
- Improve observability and provide tooling for product engineers to own application observability
- Scale database capabilities (e.g., sharding, replication, and service splitting)
- Refactor systems to match present and evolving needs

Requirements

5+ years of software engineering experience
5+ years operating cloud-deployed software at scale using config-as-code
Strong security mindset and ability to handle edge cases
Ability to design for current and future needs, including technical debt and maintainability
Can clearly explain tradeoffs and push back when needed
Mentors others by sharing knowledge and experience

Nice to Have

Experience managing relational databases at scale

Additional

Open to experimentation and learning new tools, including building with AI
Examples of what you’ve built and can walk through are encouraged

Tech Stack (used by the team)

GCP, Pulumi, PostgreSQL, TypeScript (prior experience not required)
