Software Engineer in Test

Role Overview

Software Engineer in Test (SDET) to join an Agile team building healthcare applications. You will design and maintain automated test frameworks and add new features while following strong coding and QA engineering standards.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts across UI, API, and database layers
• Build and manage comprehensive automated test suites, including:
  • Smoke, functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end tests
• Identify and automate high-value scenarios to reduce manual testing effort
• Implement and execute API testing (REST & SOAP) using automation tools
• Enhance and scale automation frameworks for maintainability, performance, and reusability

Required Skills

• Test Automation for UI + API (Selenium)
• Healthcare domain knowledge
• Programming for test automation (mentioned: JavaScript/TypeScript/Java/Python/C#)
• CI/CD and QA engineering practices using tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions (plus Git and Agile QA practices)

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Advanced SQL (data validation)
• BDD with Cucumber / SpecFlow
• TDD
• Cloud/AWS exposure
• Performance testing with JMeter or LoadRunner
• Docker and Kubernetes
• Security testing practices
• Test management tools such as Jira and Zephyr

Experience & Education

• 10+ years of experience
• Engineering degree (BE/ME/BTech/MTech/BSc/MSc); additional technical certifications are desirable
