About the role

Role Overview

Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) — Remote (USA), Contract. You’ll design and execute both manual and automated testing, build/maintain automation frameworks, and contribute to continuous testing in CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases
Build and maintain automation frameworks and test scripts
Perform test planning, test design, and test execution
Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure product quality
Identify, track, and resolve defects
Contribute to continuous testing integrated into CI/CD
Work independently with minimal supervision

Requirements (Required Skills)

Strong experience in SDET / QA Engineering
Solid coding fundamentals (Java / Python / TypeScript preferred)
Experience with automation testing and manual testing
Knowledge of test case design and test planning
Experience with API testing and UI automation
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills

Preferred Qualifications

Salesforce QA/automation experience (plus)
Hands-on experience with Salesforce Automation Toolkit (TypeScript-based in-house framework)
Experience in Agile / Scrum environments
Exposure to scalable distributed systems testing

Must-Haves (Quick Filter)

Coding ability (not only manual QA)
SDET/automation experience
Ability to design and execute test strategies independently
