Role

Software Engineer II (SE2) — Full Stack Developer II or DevSecOps Engineer II (Remote)

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance existing systems while delivering new features.
• Design, develop, and implement web applications for a large national toolset.
• Deploy new secure systems and networks; deploy applications on classified and secured networks.
• Conduct post-processing and data reduction.
• Apply Scrum framework principles and collaborate across development, operations, and security.
• Produce well-written, designed, testable, and efficient code that meets technical requirements.
• Assist senior Software Engineers with routine assignments.
• Write analysis reports, prepare briefings, and create position-relevant technical documentation.
• Deliver projects on time with attention to quality.

Required Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology.
• 5–10 years of relevant software development experience.
• Hands-on experience with React and TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Strong communication skills (written, oral, and presentation) and the ability to work with users to troubleshoot defects and deploy timely fixes.
• Ability to work independently and in a technical team environment.
• Clearance requirement: active TS/SCI clearance (desired/required as stated).

Desired Qualifications

• CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.
• Cloud security experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Container security experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Threat modeling and secure coding practices.
• Scripting with Python and/or Bash.
• Experience with additional frontend/backend technologies (e.g., Angular, Vue; Node.js, Django, Spring Boot).
• Database experience with SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB).
• API experience with REST and/or GraphQL.
• Git and Docker.
• Experience with RHEL/CentOS.
