About the role

Role Overview

Software Engineer II (AccuBill) at a growing SaaS company. You’ll build and maintain mission-driven features using a full TypeScript environment across desktop and mobile browsers.

Responsibilities

Deliver consistent, high-quality, maintainable TypeScript code
Convert designs and mocks into working modules and functionality
Assist with technical documentation
Build and maintain automated functional tests
Develop automation and process flows that support user tasks
Contribute as an accountable member of a cross-functional Scrum Team
Drive sprint goals by tracking progress in Jira and collaborating to complete user stories
Communicate progress clearly and collaborate with the team via tools like Slack/Hangouts/Zoom

Requirements

3+ years of experience with JavaScript/TypeScript
Bachelor’s degree in CS (or similar) or equivalent practical experience
Strong proficiency in TypeScript
Ability to apply AI and AI best practices (including generating clean code)
Familiarity with Serverless Architecture and AWS Lambda (FaaS)
Experience with NoSQL single-table design using DynamoDB
Authentication with AWS Cognito (authentication provider)
GraphQL with AWS AppSync
Understanding of asynchronous programming and its quirks/workarounds
Ability to write efficient, secure, well-documented, clean code
Automated JS testing experience with Jest or Cypress
Clear written and oral communication skills
Availability during core Eastern US hours to collaborate with the Scrum team
Familiarity with version control and collaboration tools

Preferred

Experience developing healthcare applications
Infrastructure as Code with Pulumi
Vue experience
Observability/monitoring tools (e.g., Datadog)
Performance tuning for Lambda/DynamoDB/AppSync
