Software Engineer I - Remote - Nationwide

Role Overview

Software Engineer I (Remote - Nationwide) at Vituity. You’ll join a team focused on building and maintaining software applications and business logic that support healthcare transformation.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle (application + business logic)
• Contribute during Agile/Scrum ceremonies
• Support project estimation and planning
• Write code and tests and perform code reviews
• Engage in generative AI-related R&D activities
• Assist with deployment, testing/validation (QA), and production troubleshooting/support
• Support application monitoring and process automation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field
• 1+ year of practical software development experience (preferred)
• Programming fundamentals in C#, Java, or Python
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure (DevOps/CI-CD/Azure monitoring) (preferred)
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs
• Database & OS knowledge with MS SQL
• Database programming experience (e.g., SQL Server queries, triggers, stored procedures)
• UI familiarity (JavaScript, HTML, Ajax, CSS)
• Ability to write maintainable C# and SQL following best practices
• Willingness to learn new technologies quickly
• Experience with GitHub or other version control and familiarity with CI/CD concepts
• Knowledge of machine learning and generative AI concepts
• Ability to break down complex problems into smaller pieces
• English communication skills

Nice to Haves

• Exposure to CSS, PowerShell, JavaScript
• SRE concepts and experience tracking application KPIs
• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
