About the role

Role Overview

Software Engineer for the Digital Thread product team supporting software and some systems tasks.

Responsibilities

Perform software and some systems engineering for the Digital Thread product team
Coordinate and collaborate with external teams to define use cases
Integrate new and existing products using REST APIs and middleware
Help teams implement changes effectively
Ensure deliverables meet quality standards at the end of each 2-week sprint
Participate in Agile development (2-week sprints) for software and systems work

Requirements

B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a comparable STEM discipline
5+ years of professional experience
Experience with GitLab CI/CD
Proficiency in Python scripting
Experience with REST APIs and containers
Experience working in AWS
Strong software engineering best practices, including:
- Git version control
- Code reviews
- Static analysis
- Rapid debugging

Nice to Have

Practical experience integrating systems/products via middleware (implied by integration responsibilities)
