Role Overview

Software Engineer working on an annotation/data-contract verification framework for an AI/code tooling platform.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a predicate and invariant framework for data contracts.
  • Create declarative contract classes for Python methods, ensuring code conforms to specifications.
  • Evolve and extend schema, adapters, and validation layers for the annotation platform.
  • Investigate and resolve verification and validation failures.
  • Document the framework comprehensively and enable knowledge transfer.
  • Collaborate with a senior architect on initial designs and independently own implementation.

Requirements

  • Experience with formal/abstract structures such as logic, type systems, and program analysis.
  • Strong ability to balance vision and execution.
  • Deep production Python experience, including:
    • decorators
    • descriptors
    • metaclasses
    • type hints
  • Strong analytical reasoning for ambiguous/underspecified problems.
  • Excellent technical communication for design docs, code reviews, and documentation.
  • Proven independence in scoping and delivering work; good judgment for escalation.

Nice to Haves

  • Comfort working closely with experienced architects on early designs and owning complex implementations.

Compensation

  • Competitive hourly rate: $50–$60/hour.
