About the role
Role Overview
Software Engineer focused on building and evolving cross-language systems in Python and Go. You will work with AI researchers and engineers to support AI training infrastructure and deliver production-ready services.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize robust, scalable solutions using Python and Go.
- Lead and execute migrations and rewrites between Python and Go, ensuring minimal disruption.
- Collaborate with AI researchers and software engineers to build and enhance AI training infrastructure.
- Apply software engineering best practices, including automation and testing.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and technical roadmaps for cross-language systems.
- Participate in code reviews and mentor engineers on interoperability and migration strategies.
- Communicate clearly with stakeholders via documentation and status updates.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with significant time in Python and Go.
- Demonstrated expertise in production environments, including codebase migrations and system rewrites between Python and Go.
- Strong written and verbal communication and proactive collaboration.
- Ability to deliver independently in a remote, distributed team.
- Experience working across multiple language ecosystems and integrating diverse solutions.
- Availability for at least 6+ hours overlap with Eastern Time.
Nice-to-Haves
- Background in AI, Machine Learning, or Data Engineering on large-scale projects.
- Mentoring experience or leading complex migration projects.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP) and CI/CD best practices.
