Role Overview

Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer (backend-focused) for a fully-remote fintech & travel startup. You’ll design, build, and scale core financial and loyalty platforms—covering backend services, APIs, and partner integrations—while coordinating closely with frontend and mobile engineers for end-to-end features.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs for high-volume financial transactions and rewards workflows
Own full feature delivery across payments, rewards, account services, and partner integrations
Contribute to system architecture and technical design as the platform evolves
Collaborate with frontend and mobile teams to support end-to-end feature development when needed
Improve reliability, performance, and observability using testing, monitoring, and strong code quality practices

Requirements

6+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong backend focus
Production experience building backend systems in Python, ideally with Django
Experience designing APIs, data models, and services using PostgreSQL and AWS

Nice-to-haves

Familiarity with frontend technologies such as TypeScript and React
Comfort working with distributed systems and high-availability production environments
Strong ownership mindset from concept through production
