Role Overview

Software Engineer (GO / Staff II) at Brandt Information Services. This is a full-time, W-2 salaried role that is 100% remote for candidates who reside in the US.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to the design, development, and delivery of technical solutions meeting functional, performance, and security requirements.
• Translate architectural vision and product requirements into actionable technical plans and tasks.
• Provide day-to-day technical oversight: code reviews, design validation, and troubleshooting.
• Write high-quality, maintainable, and testable code and contribute to critical/complex components.
• Collaborate with Technical Leads/Architects, Product Managers, QA, and DevOps for end-to-end delivery quality.
• Mentor engineers to improve technical depth and engineering discipline.
• Advocate and enforce engineering best practices, coding standards, and CI/CD processes.
• Identify and resolve technical risks and dependencies early.
• Evaluate emerging technologies to modernize and improve delivery efficiency.
• Foster a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 7–10 years of hands-on software engineering experience delivering production applications.
• Strong analytical and debugging skills; ability to take ownership and deliver quality.
• Strong focus on C# and .NET.
• Working knowledge of Azure, CI/CD pipelines, and modern front-end frameworks.
• Extensive experience in the fintech domain, specifically payment and transaction software.

Nice-to-Haves / Additional Technical Skills

• Front-end experience: Angular, React, Blazor.
• RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS).
• Relational DBs: SQL Server, PostgreSQL; ORMs such as Entity Framework.
• Containerization: Docker and Kubernetes.
• DevOps tools/practices: GitHub Actions and/or Azure DevOps.
• Contributions to open-source or technical blogging.
