About the role

Role: Software Engineer (Full-Stack)

Runpod is seeking a Full-Stack Engineer to help build tools that connect AI engineering with scalable infrastructure. You’ll work with experienced engineers to ship frontend and backend platform features and support the open-source SDK.

Responsibilities

Frontend & Backend development: build and improve user interfaces, APIs, and core platform components
SDK support & development: maintain an intuitive open-source SDK for developers integrating with Runpod
Collaboration: partner with engineering and AI teams to deliver features and fix bugs that improve the experience for AI engineers and researchers
Testing & code quality: write clean, maintainable, high-performance and scalable code; follow testing and CI best practices
Growth & teamwork: participate in code reviews, mentorship, and continuous learning

Requirements

Programming: some experience with Python and/or TypeScript; enthusiasm for growing into a full-stack role
Frontend + backend: strong frontend fundamentals (HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks) and backend framework familiarity (e.g., React, Express, FastAPI, Pydantic)
Open source: interest in contributing to open-source projects
Problem-solving: collaborative, feedback-driven approach to solving issues
Communication: clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical partners
Background check: successful completion required
Experience with Git and version control workflows

Nice to Have

Familiarity with Go or other strict-type languages
Exposure to cloud platforms, distributed computing, or containerization (e.g., Docker)
Modern best practices experience
Coursework/projects demonstrating full-stack experience

What You’ll Receive

Base pay: $130,000–$200,000 (range may be adjusted by level, experience, qualifications, and location)
