Software Engineer, Full Stack

Role Overview

Office Hours is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to build and ship end-to-end product features across the front end and back end. The role is product-minded, emphasizing close collaboration with design and product, learning by shipping, and taking ownership of real user problems.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship end-to-end product features from discovery through production release
• Collaborate with design, product, and engineering to deliver polished user experiences
• Design, implement, and improve scalable services and APIs with a focus on clarity, performance, and maintainability
• Write high-quality, well-tested code, participate in code reviews, and strengthen development practices
• Experiment with new tools and AI-powered capabilities, iterating based on real-world feedback

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Experience shipping production features in modern web applications
• Comfort working across the stack (or strong interest in becoming a full-stack engineer)
• Ability to translate product and user needs into technical solutions
• Proactive mindset and comfort in a fast-paced, evolving environment

Nice-to-Haves / Relevant Signals

• Exposure to a stack involving Node.js/TypeScript services and React/Next.js front ends
• Experience with scalable infrastructure and observability tooling (AWS/Kubernetes, Datadog, Sentry)
