About the role
Role Overview
Imply is hiring a Software Engineer (Full Stack, Backend Focus) to help build Imply Lumi, the industry’s first Observability Warehouse. You’ll build user-facing systems and services that enable Lumi to deliver fast queries and cost-efficient observability integration with open-source Apache Druid.
Responsibilities
- Work with a cross-functional team to deliver enterprise-grade services and interfaces for Identity, APIs, and Billing.
- Collaborate with product, UX, and quality teams to ship scalable, accurate, and secure features iteratively.
- Improve team delivery processes as part of a collaborative engineering culture.
- Write resilient tests for functional requirements and participate in security audits.
Requirements
- 3+ years of API or backend development using Java or Node.js.
- Strong modern engineering practices, including Agile and CI/CD, with a focus on testability and quality.
- Proficiency in Java is preferred, or deep expertise in another statically typed language for APIs/microservices.
- Bachelor’s degree in CS/engineering (or equivalent professional experience).
Bonus Points
- Experience with authentication and authorization and API-to-application security.
- Experience building production-grade single-page applications with TypeScript and React (or similar: Vue, Angular, Svelte).
- Experience in a SaaS environment.
