About the role
Role Overview
As a Software Engineer (Frontend) at Sift, you’ll help define the frontend architecture, shape the product, and influence company culture. You will build high-performance data visualization interfaces and intuitive UI for data exploration, collaborating with backend teams to deliver smooth user experiences.

Requirements
- Strong experience building production web applications with React, Next.js, and TypeScript
- Experience with modern CSS (e.g., Tailwind) and component libraries (e.g., Radix UI) for design systems
- Strong understanding of web performance optimization and browser rendering
- 3+ years of professional experience building web applications and data-driven tools
Nice to Have
- Experience with technical visualization tools such as WebGL, D3.js, and Apache ECharts
- Experience with time-series data
- Knowledge of WebAssembly and browser-based computation
- Background in scientific computing or technical data visualization
- Evidence of shipping side projects with consistent usage
- Experience building tools for technical users (e.g., dashboards, data-editing environments)
Location / Work Model
- Full remote, with the team based in El Segundo, CA and collaboration in person twice a week (Mondays and Thursdays).
