Software Engineer, Frontend

Role overview

Software Engineer, Frontend (100% remote). You will build accessible, high-impact front-end web tools that help customers manage their services across managed cloud and consulting offerings.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Managers, Product Designers, and Backend Engineers to scope and develop scalable front-end web experiences.
• Use modern web standards (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and frameworks/tools such as Tailwind, React, TypeScript, GraphQL, and Storybook.
• Deliver fast, scalable, accessible, documented, and tested code that improves user experiences.
• Advocate for improvements in product quality, security, accessibility, and performance.
• Balance execution between shipping major initiatives and mentoring/unblocking other engineers.
• Make technical decisions that consider best practices, system realities, stakeholder needs, and roadmap constraints.

Requirements

• Professional experience building web interfaces with React/JavaScript and consuming REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Expert-level JavaScript and React knowledge (and surrounding ecosystem).
• Strong understanding of semantic HTML, accessibility, and implementing design systems/component libraries.
• Ability to create/maintain bundling & build tooling, package dependencies, and CI/CD deployments (e.g., GitLab).
• Mentoring experience for frontend engineers and ability to provide clear feedback.
• Testing experience using automated frameworks such as Jest and Playwright.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• AWS Cloud Practitioner certification (required to obtain within one year of hire).

• Experience shipping complex initiatives and guiding accessibility/performance improvements across diverse audiences.
